How Do I Sign Up
To open an online account with a Casino or Sportsbook
follow the proceedures outlined by the site of you choice. Your personal details will be required,
(most sites have a privacy policy in force and I would recommend that you read this) for their records,
the amount of detail required varies from site to site.
Ready To Roll gives a general overview of the
sign up process.
What Currency Is Used
The standard currencies used are US Dollars and British Pounds Sterling.
I find TheXE.com Universal Currency Converter very handy.
How Do I Pay
No actual money changes hands. You deposit a pre determined
amount into your account using one of the methods which the site recommends and that you prefer.
Usually one of the following:
Pay Pal
Fire Pay
Credit Card
Wire Transfer
How Much Should I Deposit
A deposit in the region of between $25 - $50 US Dollars is fairly standard.
Special sign up bonuses often apply and are credited to your account - this could be
1) A percentage of the amount you deposited.
2) A fixed amount i.e. $50 US Dollars
3) A match amount i.e. whatever your deposit is matched (Some casinos limit the amount to a maximum monetary value)
What Stakes Are Required
Depends on the site and type of wager you are making.
Slots can be as low as 25 cents a spin, blackjack a dollar a hand. Just like the land based
casino's all budgets are catered for - from the occasional player to the high rollers. Also
look for any special play rates or promotions that the casinos' have posted.
How Do I Get My Winnings
In order to receive your winnings you will have to Cash Out the
amount at the relevant site. Each site provides details as to how this is done.
You should read these, some sites may require sight of your drivers licence or other identifying document for winnings over a specified amount.
Winnings are the amount wagered, less amount lost, handling fees (if any) and applicable taxes.
How Are My Winnings Paid
Whichever method you elected to pay with will receive a credit.
Then either a direct credit will be made, a cheque may be written up or a wire transfer will be drawn up
for the approporiate amount.
