ROULETTE
HOW  TO  PLAY

Roulette is one of the games most people would like to play and the game most often called to mind
when you think of casinos.

The roulette chips have no monetary values printed on them.   Usually there are between six and  eight sets of different colored chips, (300 chips to a set).   Each  player has their own color and the value of each is the amount bought divided by the number of chips.   A token is placed on top of the dealer's stack corresponding to the color of chips to indicate the value.  Bets are placed on numbers, colors, odds or evens.

United States Rules
U.S. roulette wheels have 38 numbered slots (1 to 36, zero and  double zero). Bets are placed on individual numbers and  or combinations of numbers.  After bets are placed the dealer spins the wheel.  The ball  goes round and comes to rest  in one of the numbered slots.  An imprison rule may be applied to even money bets, the bet remains imprisoned until the ball fails to land in zero.

European Rules
European roulette  also has the "en prison" rule.  Even money bets are imprisoned.  If the ball lands in zero the player either gets half the bet back or it becomes imprisoned.  If an imprisoned bet wins on the next spin it is released, unless the ball lands in zero again in which case the bet is lost.   A double imprisonment rule applies in some European countries also (Two zeros = double imprisoned  and two winning bets in a row are required for the bets release, but any zeros will lose the bet.)
